Many of the best models are compatible with smartphones. Look for an application that lets you save maps, set schedules and select cleaning modes.
- Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behavior.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them and even managed to cross thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally was unable to navigate down stairs in a single pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it came to carpets or carpets.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills the water tank with clean filtered ozonated water. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
The S1 requires periodic maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dust or dirt. Overall the S1 is simple to maintain, particularly compared to other combos which require more effort to maintain.

Ecovacs all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides an effective solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned and dried at the base station if required.

The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station when needed. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
- Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the high-end X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure a thorough, customized clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest areas of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other mess. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can go from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for homes that have multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a wide distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
